There are 316 country-code TLDs in the IANA root as of version 2026062302 — 255 two-letter ASCII ccTLDs and 61 internationalized (IDN) ccTLDs in non-Latin scripts. This list is generated directly from the IANA Root Zone Database.
What is a ccTLD?+
A country-code top-level domain is a two-letter TLD assigned to a country or territory under ISO 3166-1 (for example .de for Germany, .co for Colombia). Many are open to anyone worldwide, while others require a local presence. IDN ccTLDs represent the same countries in native scripts, such as .рф for Russia or .한국 for South Korea.
Where does this data come from?+
Every suffix, registry operator, and IANA record here is taken directly from the IANA Root Zone Database (IANA Root Zone Database (https://www.iana.org/domains/root/db)). Country names use ISO 3166-1. Registrar support is confirmed from real registrar catalogs — it shows which of the registrars we track are known to sell each ccTLD, and reads "unknown" where we cannot confirm it rather than guessing.
Why do some ccTLDs show 'unknown' registrar support?+
Support is a positive-confirmation flag. 46 of the 316 ccTLDs have at least one tracked registrar confirmed to sell them. Many ccTLDs are sold only by local or specialist registrars we do not yet track, so we mark them "unknown" instead of claiming they are unavailable.
